rowal,

This is a relatively fresh build, less than 2 months old. Core i7 920 @ 2.66GHz, 6 GB DDR3 1600 RAM and a GeForce GTX 260 thrown in the mix. Vista x64. It rocks! I could possibly add a couple more GTX's on it (mobo is triple SLI ready) but I kinda figured that'd be overkill for my needs, not to mention expensive.

It's fun to see the progress, knowing it's all going to something that will be useful one day. smile.gif

@ Galadriel. Exactly.

Thanks for the info. Slightly better than my 2 yo rig, LOL. Just finished hire purchase on 2 laptops and a monitor - another laptop, TV and this tower will be finished by Christmas so time to start looking at a PS3 and new tower I think. I just love these 'hard times' when you can get anything on no deposit, 12 months interest free, and 36 month term, LOL. Costs nothing to get good gear.

FOLD ON TEAM.

Probably will be my max for awhile, until....

Hello fellow folders,

I've decided to give it a go again, I have a new PC with an Intel Quad and an 9800GT. I'm having some issues getting the Quad working with F@H; Any one know of or wants to write a good tutorial? wink.gif

Hello nigglesnush,

Not sure which client you're trying to run on that quad, but the SMP needs special config. I followed this guide to set mine up.

Hello all,

I'm having some trouble with the F@H GPU client. When I first started using it on a new PC it was folding around 1200 iterations per second and I could still play games while folding. Now, it has reduced to around 500-600 and performance has fallen. I started to use a new user account and the performance was back to normal for a few weeks. Now, in this new user account the performance has gone.

Anyone have any ideas on whats happening with it?

Might be working on some more advanced work orders. That happened to mine a while back, but it seems to be back to normal.

I've been away from folding for a while due to temperature and an elusive hardware issue, but this bleeping elf's back into the folding fray! Got a new heatsink on this monster, and figured out my intermittent power problem (turned out to be a short in the reset switch wire that would only happen after the system had been running for a while), been folding since yesterday. Did y'all miss me?
