Heres a fun browser based online multiplayer game, no installs required.
CyberNations In short it's a Nation Simulation game, ever wanted to have your own nation, place it where ever you want? name your capital?, Decide your own policies? Trade with other Nations and engauge in politics and war? http://www.cybernations.net/about.asp In my opinion it's a very good game and I'm addicted to it, one of the best things about this game is the sense of community. From teams to alliances to trading partners. Within the first 5 minutes you will have your inbox flooded with requests and offeres for trading and joining alliance. Joining an alliance is a great way to learn the game, be social, have support in nation building and war time, and general fun. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- also a quick heads up: I'm still having a great time playing Urban Dead, the MMORPG browser game (no installs required), I've been with it for about a year and I'm still in love with it. Try it out, look up a few groups and join one, here are some ideas for groups.(Remember you can have several alts all with different ideals/goals/personas) Pro-Zombie Groups: MOB RRF (RidleybankResistanceFront) Pro-Survivor Groups: DHPD (Dunnel Hills Police Department) CC ( Crimson Clan) Umbrella Corp. Pro-Pker Groups: RedRum Gore-Corps (Division of the RRF) Edit: Also, Might I suggest having a Diff topic for Browser Based Games? I'd like to add to the Arcade/Car Racing category, and/or MMORPG category, because it's both.
Drift City! Here's a breif description of the story line: In the near future, the world's industrial infrastructure has been severely hampered by global shortages of oil. With the slowing pace of business and progress, all eyes are on a remote island, where an amazing new natural resource has been discovered: Mittron. On Mittron Island, the usage of petroleum products is defunct; refined Mittron now powers all modes of transportation. The performance of automobiles in particular, has shown the potential of the new fuel. Cars fueled by Mittron can run faster, longer, and cleaner. And with the lower mining and refining costs required by Mittron, world leaders are watching the island with excitement, hoping to import the new resource and learn techniques for discovery and refining. The OMD government, the managing body of Mittron Island, is also eager to form agreements with the rest of the world for sharing Mittron technology. However, a terrible threat to the world's progress has surfaced. Mysterious cars called HUVs terrorize the streets of Mittron Island, disrupting the normal ebb and flow of society. The sheer volume of HUV-related incidents occupies so much of the OMD government's resources that professional drivers have been imported to Mittron Island to help cope with the increased workload. As a new OMD Driver, you will carry out missions that the OMD government assigns to you at the different Stations you work out of. Whether you're chasing down HUVs, delivering doughnuts or smoking other drivers in the Battle Zone, your skills as a driver will determine your success on Mittron Island. It's 100% free and, like most, requires only a free registration! I play this game and highley recommend it!
