I thought that it would be fun for us all to post a snapshot of our desktops. I feel the images that we are drawn to, provide a little insight to all of us as individuals. And with that thought in mind. We just may get to know each other a little better. And I'm sure all of us may find what we may have in common with some of our fellow members. Besides I'll just love to see what you all have choosen! smile.gif

How to:

> Hit the Print Screen key
> Open Paint
> Then hit both the ctrl , v. keys simultaneously.

This also works with InfranView ( A great little free image viewer and converter. I might add.)

Then click on > file
>save as
>In drop down choose type. >jpeg, .gif
Then clear box and type in choice of name.
( So you be able to find it easier in next step.)

After you have your screenshot you need to host the picture somewhere.
I recommend Image Shack
It's free and easy to use.

>Sign up, log-in

> click on the > browse button.
Find your screenshot and then click > Host It
> Click on the My Images link @ the top of page
Your picture will upload and you will now see it .
Look for the Thumb Nail Code for Forums
Then copy and paste the link to your post.

Note: If you ever delete the pic. from your photo hosting site. It will no longer show in your post.

hysterical.gif Gee I had gotten so tied up in posting the how to info. Since I knew questions would arise from all of the newbie members. That I forgot to post one of mine. I will get to it a little later. whistling.gif

censored2.gif Thanks Koan I knew I forgot something. I have added it to my starting post, along with the other "How To's"

For posting the "screen-shots", I think it's best that everyone use the "URL" rather than post it as an "IMG" (Image). This thread could get out of hand bandwidth wise. And for some of us on dial-up, never finish loading. Just MHO.

Since I almost always have windows opened up full screen, I do not have a background. Do you mind if I post a current shot?

Here are a few prints of my screen:

Current screen shot This one was taken about an hour or so ago. Had to show it off tongue.gif .

Old screen shot This one has 5 independant IMs open, BC full screen, and folding.

On both shots, the application RB is Rambooster. It was the current amount of RAM free while all of this is open.

Come on now everyone. Lets see what you've got. smile.gif Besides this is good practice on taking and posting screenshots. Helpful if you wish to show errors, when asking for help and or feedback. Go the first post for info on how to.

And please remember:...Using the first link "URL" will save the bandwidth of this site. And I'm sure that Grinler will apprieciate that fact.
